VIRTUAL DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
Bancroft has adopted Virtual Design as a process that enhances our
services as your Construction Manager. The Project Team will develop a strategy where Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) can be implemented in order to mitigate risk to the project’s budget or schedule. This allows for better review of design documents, more accurate project schedules, and to become
more proactive with issues that may occur within the field.

SERVICE SPOTLIGHT: VIRTUAL DESIGN
Bancroft Construction Company has adopted Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) as a process and technology that further enhances our services as your construction manager. On projects that VDC can be utilized, our team can better review design documents, develop project schedules and logistics plans more accurately, validate project estimates, and become more proactive with issues that may occur within the field.
Our overall goal is to utilize virtual design to build as efficiently as possible and mitigate risk before they happen in the field.
VDC helps to control a projects:
Benefits of VDC:
Improves total project cost understanding Improves drawing coordination Allows for careful schedule + logistics analysis Eliminates potential MEP conflicts Links scheduling software and field survey devices to 3D models Reduces need for RFIs and change orders
BIM allowed us to create RFIs pertaining to available space before it became an issue in the field. It was a game of inches in many places. We were able to foresee access panel locations and provide dimensions for field installation. It also sped up approval time on shop drawings, which was vital on a phased project.
